The bathroom, one of the most important and widely used rooms in the house, should always have complete and durable fixtures. This will ensure that anyone who will use the room will be comfortable and safe, from the sinks to the bowls to the tubs, everything should be perfect. Another important bathroom fixture would be bathroom faucets, which also come in various types and designs. Selecting which type of bathroom faucet to buy for the bathroom is usually dependent on the qualifications that the home owners are looking for. Luckily, the different types of bathroom faucets also come with different features, so it's best to really know and understand what each type can provide.
One type of bathroom faucets is called the compression type faucets. These are mainstays in homes that are older with sinks that are more standard in size and shapes. These have 2 knobs or handles, each for hot and cold water, also this type has a more controlled release of water.
Cartridge faucets look almost the same as how compression faucets do. However, this type can be available with one or two handles. A faucet with 1 handle can be swiveled or turned to get the pressure and temperature of the water while those with 2 handles have no means to control the release of water.
Ball faucets are considered to be the one of the earliest types of faucets. These bathroom faucet can be identified by having a ball shaped handle and only required one hole on the sink for it to be installed. These faucets are not too expensive but have the reputation to cause leaks easily.
Disc faucets, another type of bathroom faucets, are different because the type doesn't require the use of washers to properly regulate and control water pressure and temperature. Another difference from regular bathroom faucets is that disc faucets only sport one handle and can be swiveled from left to right, up or down to release water and to specify the temperature.
Other features of bathroom faucets are motion sensibility, which is a great safety feature; the materials from which these faucets are made, and the cost of the bathroom faucets; should also be considered.
With the vast choices of bathroom faucets in the market, it would be very easy to decide which type and kind will work best at home. Whether the faucet is made of brass, copper or stainless steel, the most important aspect should always be the comfort and assurance that these bathroom faucets can give their users.
